You've chosen a nice destination, man! 'cause in Muscat you can practice lots of water sports, such as diving and snorkelling. And if dolphin and whale watching counts, then you shouldn't feel like a fish out of water anymore... I suggest you visit the Oman Drive Center (on Bandar Jissah St), which is probably the most easy-going places to enjoy some water sports. These guys offer snorkelling trips (including equipment hire OR9500) or coastal tours of Muscat (for OR15), so... enjoy!
