frank's question:
I earned a Nizwa holiday at an on-line contest. What should I expect to see there?(give a different answer) .
There's a 17th century circular fort you can go photograph, and some very rich jewelry and crafts industries. For shop addicts, it would be interesting to purchase a souvenir such as a kanjar dagger, curved and still used in ceremonies. Go see the local mosque too, a blue dome, surrounded by noisy silver merchants. Nizwa was famed for its poets once, being the origin of Sindbad the Sailor.
